Ausenco has over 90 years of history designing ports and coastal structures worldwide. Throughout this time there have been cycles of challenges: whether growth or refurbishment, port infrastructure has a lifespan which exceeds that of most of the businesses originally servicing it.
The recent past has been a period of low investment and high innovation, resulting in a flattening out of the development curve. However, out of this process new technology and advances in design software are leading us to future-proof these long term investments in new and interesting ways. In this session, Katrina and Paulo will discuss:
- Examples of how a step change in the development curve can be achieved through challenging the norms and exploring technologies
- Taking a holistic view to the Port Master Planning, how you can add value to existing facilities as well as establishing a more sustainable approach to new developments
